MBA Mission Statement

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a graduate degree program taught by extensively experienced, faculty and business executives who bring a wealth of current industry knowledge and expertise to our classrooms that enhances managerial decision-making.

Those professionals deliver a cutting-edge curriculum in four concentrations offered on campus (offered in the evening and are well suited for working professionals):

  • Accounting
  • Human Resource Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • General MBA

Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management and the General MBA are also offered via our Online MBA program.

AACSB-International recognizes the MBA as an accredited graduate management program. The Human Resource Management concentration is certified by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and this program prepares participants for the professional SHRM certification and assessment examination. The Supply Chain Management concentration helps prepare graduates for certification in the various supply chain management, purchasing, transportation, and operations management professional societies (e.g., APICS, NAPM). The Accounting concentration assists graduates with the necessary number of credit hours and academic/professional preparation necessary to achieve CPA certification. The General Management concentration provides a broad skill set that prepares business professionals for success in their chosen industry and career path.

Our enrollment objective within our strategic plan is to have 250 enrolled students in the MBA program by the Fall semester of 2020 across the four concentrations. Our Customer Value Proposition is for our MBA experience to provide for unique student-practitioner interactions leveraging NC A&T's strong industry and alumni relations within and outside of the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics. Via a corporate partner course adoption, practitioners will engage students in a way that ensures graduates have industry relevant knowledge, skills, and relationships/business networks, and are job ready.
