Accounting concentration

Accounting concentration

The MBA program is in the process of phasing out its Accounting concentration. Students interested in pursuing a specialized accounting education are encouraged to apply to our highly regarded Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program. In place of the Accounting concentration, the MBA program will introduce a new Finance concentration, which will be available starting in the Fall 2026 semester. This change demonstrates our commitment to aligning the MBA curriculum with the evolving needs of the industry and student interests.

The Accounting MBA concentration offers accounting graduates the opportunity to enhance the breadth and depth of their accounting education as well as gain sufficient credit hours to take the CPA examination. The program provides a balance of advanced financial and managerial accounting concepts while also addressing current international accounting topics.

The Accounting concentration intentionally includes content needed to support professional certification in accounting.
