The COBE 2019 China Study Abroad Program trip is being planned with WorldStrides educational travel company. The MBA focus will be to develop (during the Spring 2019 semester as a part of the MGMT 785 – Practicum or Internship course) a marketing strategy for the USDA-Shanghai; and to deliver our marketing strategy at the SIAL conference – Asia’s largest and the 4th biggest food innovation exhibition in the world.
The trip will include guided tours, company visits and free time to explore Chinese culture in the world-class cities of Beijing and Shanghai. The trip is planned for Sunday, May 12, 2019, thru Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The budget for the trip due to the tour company is approximately $4,199 (pricing may vary due to exchange rates and airfare). This includes airfare, breakfast, health insurance, accommodations (double occupancy), entrances to cultural attractions and Chinese Visa. Passport, lunch, and dinner, as well as miscellaneous items such as an electrical converter and souvenirs, are not included. Therefore your grand total will be approximately $4,550. Partial COBE scholarships and travel grants from the International Affairs Office to offset part of the trip’s cost may be available if you qualify.
