For years, the Master’s of Business Administration has been the benchmark for managers seeking higher education. This degree not only equips students with a solid foundation of business theory,  it also stresses relevance in the changing climate of business, due to factors like the global economy and advancements in technology. One of the most-sought-after MBAs is the online degree as it provides students with a convenience not found elsewhere. As more and more business schools offer online MBA programs, it is important to compare and contrast each program in order to find the best fit. While many online Master’s of Business Administration programs offer some of the same prominent characteristics distance learners are looking for in a degree, few have enough advantages to be true standouts. One business school may offer a well-respected curriculum while lacking a sense of consistency between concentrations. A program’s tuition rates can look attractive at first glance but if professionals from that particular school do not fare well among salary averages, it may not have been the best option for a return on the investment.

North Carolina A&T State University offers an online Master’s of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, General Management, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management at the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics. With a total tuition price of less than $14,999, this degree is classified as very affordable. According to the U.S. News and World Report Best Business Schools Ranking, graduates from the business school report an average base salary of $84,000 after graduation, revealing great potential for a healthy return on investment of education. The Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics, which receives its exemplary accreditation through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, allows students to complete coursework on site, online, or as a combination of the two in a hybrid experience. The goal of this program is to “graduate students who are comfortable with technology and know how to make an impact (e.g. facilitate decision-making, buy-in, and knowledge sharing), enable capabilities (e.g. helping others to do their jobs more effectively), and get business done efficiently using collaborative tools and platforms.” Courses within this program include Methods in Business Analysis, Foundation of Enterprise Management, Quantitative Business Analysis, Strategic Marketing, Management and Organization Analysis, Human Resources Management, and Staffing. Operating under the school motto of Mens et Manus “Mind and Hand,” North Carolina A&T State University is planted on a main campus in Greensboro, North Carolina. This four-year, public institution of higher learning oversees a student enrollment of 11,877 currently seeking degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. North Carolina A&T was founded in 1891 as the Agricultural and Mechanical College for the Colored Race. The first group of students numbered 37 while the staff was only four. The university entered the University of North Carolina System in 1971. Home of the Aggies, the athletic department at North Carolina A&T State University supports men’s and women’s varsity sports teams who wear the official school colors of blue and gold while competing at the NCAA Division I level as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. N.C. A&T receives its regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges.
