Dr. Eric M. Gladney Assistant Dean and MBA Director

The Assistant Dean and MBA Director of the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics (COBE) is Dr. Eric Gladney.

Previously Dr. Gladney served as Director of the Center for Leadership & Organizational Excellence within the Division of Human Resources at North Carolina A&T State University; Assoc. Director of Professional Development for Human Resources as well as Lecturer with the Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro (UNCG) and as an Adjunct Professor at Elon University’s Love School of Business.

Corporately, he has served as the Director of Business Development within General Dynamics Advanced Technology Systems, Greensboro, NC. He also served in Senior Management within the areas of manufacturing, systems engineering, program management, strategic third party alliances and partnerships, as well as marketing, strategy and corporate research & development with Xerox Corporation.

The position reports to the Dean of the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics. Gladney will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the MBA program in alignment with the College’s mission and values. He plays a critical role in every student’s experience and supports the program commitment to provide a student-centered and business-mentored MBA program. Gladney will also lead dialogue and integration between the faculty and students of the MBA program and the business community within the Triad Region and beyond, as well as encourage activities and programs within the MBA that will enhance its growth and sustainability.

Gladney holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, an MBA from the University of Rochester, a Masters degree from Duke University and an earned Doctorate from United Theological Seminary.
